On February 16th 2018, the Westport Fire Department was alerted to a building fire on Remlin Ct. The Westport Fire Department responded with four engines, one truck, and the shift commander. Mutual aid was also dispatched on receipt of the call. The first fire department unit arrived and reported a fully involved structure.

Passing of Charter Member Jack Henry

Local F-147 regrets to announce the passing of Clifford "Jack" Henry. Jack passed on Friday, February 2nd 2018 at his home in Neptune City at the age of 91. Jack was a Charter Member of our Local and played a pivotal role in organizing Federal Firefighters on Naval Weapons Station Earle in 1969.

On February 10, 2018 at 10:27am the Westport Fire Department responded to a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident on Wilton Road in the area of Poplar Plain Road. The Westport Fire Department responded with 2 Engines, a Rescue Truck and the Shift Commander. Engine 6 arrived and reported a vehicle had rolled over and came to rest on its side.

Earlier this morning, Westport Fire Department received notification of a motor vehicle accident with injuries, with possible extrication required on Route 15 Southbound between Fairfield and Westport. Two Engines, Rescue 3 and the Shift Commander responded and due to the location of the accident, Fairfield Fire Department was also notified and sent apparatus to the scene.
