PARTICIPATE IN ANNUAL ADOPT-A-FAMILY

Adopt A Family for Christmas

 The professional firefighters and paramedics of the Kettering Fire Department are again gearing up to help families this holiday season.  In the past years our Adopt-A-Family Program has helped 83 families including 165 children.  Our success, in large, is due to the generous support of the business community and personal donations of area residents.

Due to the great support from the community last year, we were able to adopt eight families including nineteen children.  Our goal this year is to exceed last year’s totals.  Your generosity provides Christmas presents, a holiday dinner, and helps to cover utility bills and food and supplies for the receiving family for the month of December.

If you, your family, or your business or organization would like to help our effort this year please contact any fire personnel at Kettering Fire Department Station 36, 4500 Bigger Road, at 296-3260 by December 15, 2004 between the hours of 8AM and 5PM.  You may also contact Fire Headquarters’ secretary, 2861 Bobbie Place, at 296-2489.  With your support we can make it a joyful holiday season for some of the less fortunate families in our community.  Gift wrapping and visitations are scheduled for Friday December 17^th.  Mark your calendars and plan on joining us at Fire Headquarters for Holiday merriment and gift wrapping.
